Irondale is about to pick up some serious speed. Popular indoor go-karting brand K1 Speed has announced plans to open its second Alabama location right here in Irondale.
The new facility, set to open soon, will bring the brand’s signature all-electric go-karts, professionally designed tracks, and high-energy atmosphere to our community. K1 Speed is known nationwide for delivering a fun and competitive racing experience for drivers of all ages — from family outings and birthday parties to corporate team-building events.
This marks an exciting milestone for Irondale, as it joins Hoover as one of just two Alabama cities to host a K1 Speed. According to the company, guests can expect more than just racing. The Irondale location will feature a lounge-style atmosphere, food and beverage options, arcade games, and space for private events.
